ELLE No. 444: Editorial Magazine Design
For this project, I conceptualized and designed a high-fashion editorial magazine inspired by the visual language and sophistication of ELLE. The goal was to create a cohesive, luxury-driven publication that blends striking imagery with intentional typography and clean, elevated layouts.
The creative direction centered around a modern, minimal interpretation of high-fashion editorial design, targeting an audience drawn to luxury, simplicity, and visual storytelling. I focused on creating a publication that feels both aspirational and accessible, where each spread contributes to a larger, cohesive narrative.
I emphasized strong visual storytelling through bold, minimal compositions and high-contrast photography to highlight mood, texture, and form. Each spread was carefully curated to feel both modern and timeless, balancing negative space with structured editorial elements to guide the reader’s eye.
Typography plays a key role throughout the magazine, combining refined serif headlines with clean, readable body text to mirror the aesthetic of contemporary fashion publishing. I used a consistent grid system and intentional hierarchy to create clarity, flow, and visual rhythm across all pages.
From cover design to interior spreads, I prioritized consistency in branding, alignment, spacing, and proportion to reflect a premium editorial standard. This project was developed using Adobe InDesign, with supporting work in Photoshop, allowing for precise control over layout, imagery, and composition.
This project highlights my ability to translate a brand identity into a fully realized publication, combining creativity with technical precision while thinking strategically about audience, layout, and visual communication.
